THE 2025 KTM EXC CHAMPIONS EDITION RANGE IS MADE FOR THE TOP STEP

Like it says on the tin, the KTM EXC CHAMPIONS EDITION range celebrates KTM’s dominance in the FIM Hard Enduro and EnduroGP World Championships.

In 1974, Motocross racer Gennadij Moiseev won KTM's first 250cc World Championship, setting the tone for what would become an unparalleled motorsports success story. In 1990, KTM won the first-ever Enduro World Championship with Paul Edmondson and Peter Hansson. Today, over 50 years and more than 340 world titles later, KTM presents the CHAMPIONS EDITION to honour the past and present KTM champions.

Setting the KTM EXC CHAMPIONS EDITION apart from the rest of the KTM Enduro range is a RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING graphics kit, poised to take its place between the standard KTM EXC and KTM EXC SIX DAYS range.

While featuring the same, proven race-winning parts package as the rest of the KTM Enduro arsenal, the KTM EXC CHAMPIONS EDITION adds the following to the mix:

  • RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING GRAPHICS
  • ORANGE FRAME
  • FRAME PROTECTION SET
  • GREY ODI LOCK-ON GRIPS
  • ORANGE FACTORY RACING SEAT
  • MAP-SELECT SWITCH
  • ORANGE FRONT AXLE PULLER
  • SEMI-FLOATING FRONT BRAKE DISC
  • SUPERSPROX STEALTH REAR SPROCKET
  • SKID PLATE
  • RADIATOR FAN
  • MICHELIN ENDURO TYRES

The 2025 KTM EXC CHAMPIONS EDITION line-up boasts several models, with the KTM 250 EXC CHAMPIONS EDITION and KTM 300 EXC CHAMPIONS EDITION leading the 2-stroke stables.

On the 4-stroke side of the pitlane, the ever-present KTM 250 EXC-F CHAMPIONS EDITION, KTM 350 EXC-F CHAMPIONS EDITION, KTM 450 EXC-F CHAMPIONS EDITION and KTM 500 EXC-F CHAMPIONS EDITION take the top position.

Who better to showcase the new models in a competition setting than three of KTM’s most renowned racers? Two-time world enduro champion Johnny Aubert will head to Galicia, Spain, in October this year to take on the iconic FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE). The Frenchman will be joined by Chris Birch – hard enduro star and three-time Roof of Africa winner – as well as Red Bull Erzbergrodeo victor (and Mani’s Dad) Andreas Lettenbichler. Together, the three legends of enduro will contest the ISDE’s Club Team class as the KTM ALL STAR TEAM – all riding KTM EXC CHAMPIONS EDITION machines.

Set to roll off the Mattighofen production line in September, the new 2025 KTM EXC CHAMPIONS EDITION range will be available from October onwards. Full model pricing below.

MCN CROWNS SUZUKI GSX-8R SPORTSBIKE OF THE YEAR

Motorcycle News has crowned the Suzuki GSX-8R as its “Sportsbike of the Year”. The 8R collects the award a year after its naked stablemate, the GSX-8S, won the award for Best Naked.

The award makes it two awards in two years for Suzuki’s 776cc parallel twin engine platform, which has won favour with press and customers alike thanks to its punchy power delivery and flexibility.

The GSX-8R was heralded as ‘a sublime bit of kit’ by the world famous motorcycling newspaper, and praised for being ‘cracking fun to ride’ and for being ‘living proof that sportsbikes can be fun, comfortable and capable, without breaking the bank, as it blends sportiness with everyday usability.

Jak Tyrrell, Suzuki GB’s senior motorcycle marketing manager, said after collecting the award, “It’s obviously really pleasing to see the 8R recognised as the great bike it is, but, for us, it’s also great to see that our latest engine platform is clearly a leading light in the middleweight category, with two MCN awards in two years. The GSX-8R really captured imaginations when it was revealed, and has clearly delivered on its promise to be a sportsbike accessible for all riders.”

The GSX-8R houses its 776cc engine inside a brand new chassis, with suspension from Showa, including the firm’s SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston) at the front. Radially-mounted Nissin four-piston calipers provide the stopping power.

An electronics package features a bi-directional quickshifter as standard, three power modes, and three traction control settings, with all information displayed via a colour TFT screen.

The GSX-8R is currently available with 4.9% APR representative finance over four years, and with a £2,038.56 deposit it can be ridden away for just £69 per month.

NEW COLOURS FOR ICONIC SV650

Suzuki has launched three new colours for the SV650, with this year being the 25th year of production for the iconic middleweight.

Respected and loved by riders the world over for its real-world performance and versatility, the SV650 is still equally capable for the daily commute as it is on a track day, thanks to its infectious V-twin character that has been captivating new and experienced riders alike for the last 25 years.

The legendary middleweight comes in a brand new pearl vigor blue with striking colour matched frame and wheels. There are two further options which both come with bronze frame and wheels, and the choice of matt black or green colour scheme.

KTM 85 SX 2025

STEP UP INTO THE BIG LEAGUES

Filling the gap between the KTM 65 SX and the KTM 125 SX, the 2025 KTM 85 SX provides young racers the ideal platform to launch into full-size motocross competition, ready to pick up the baton and continue its domination in the 85 cc class.

The 2025 KTM 85 SX is developed to be as close to a scaled-down version of a full-size KTM Motocross machine as possible, with international testing in Europe, North America and Australia. This has resulted in an 85 cc screamer that not only looks like it's bigger brothers but behaves like them, sharing the same high levels of quality and attention to detail.

For 2025, the KTM 85 SX has been updated significantly to enhance handling characteristics, boost rider confidence, and improve engine performance in the low to mid-rpm range.

A completely new frame, subframe and swingarm provide the basis for the update over the previous generation. Based on the full-sized KTM SX frame concept, the high-strength chromium molybdenum steel frame integrates carefully calculated longitudinal flex and torsional rigidity parameters for unmatched rider feedback, energy absorption, and straight-line stability. This is mated to a 1-piece polyamide glass fibre reinforced aluminum subframe, reducing overall weight and providing a platform to integrate the electronics. Manufactured using a gravity die-cast process, the one-piece aluminum swingarm offers exceptional strength with minimal weight. The topology has been optimised for maximum rigidity, and an improved casting process reduces the weight by 300 grams. Additionally, a 20 mm rear axle has been fitted to optimise and match the chassis flex characteristics.

The new frame also allowed for a new riding experience with a steering head at 63.5 degrees – half a degree flatter than the previous generation – and moved rearwards by 6 mm. This has aided in cornering stability and a more planted feel in high-speed acceleration, further supported by a wider steering angle of 35 degrees, which has improved the steering angle by 2 degrees over its predecessor.

The engine position has also been tweaked, with a 3 degree rotation upwards to maintain a more direct connection point with the swingarm. This has allowed for the most effective weight distribution when hitting jumps.

Regarding suspension updates, the 2025 KTM 85 SX benefits from an all-new, fully-adjustable WP XACT monoshock mirroring the latest technology found in the full-size motocross range. Linked directly to the swingarm in a PDS format, the WP XACT monoshock has a different mounting point to the previous generation, allowing for a more compact rear shock design with a shorter stroke. This provides improved rider feedback and stability over larger jumps and rough tracks.

A notable update over the previous generation is a lower suspension travel of 289 mm compared to 305 mm on the previous model. This has dramatically aided in controlling rebound and compression in the rear shock, with a more planted feel, better traction and overall handling.

Up front, the 2025 KTM 85 SX maintains the championship-proven and lightweight 43 mm WP XACT USD AER fork. Compared to the previous generation, the air pressure is tuned to 4.8 bar from the previous 5.0 bar for a smoother ride and suspension compliance.

An updated engine has improved power in the low and mid-rpm range and increased torque for performance. This is made possible by a new cylinder head and spark plug, ignition, exhaust, shift drum, and updated carburettor settings.

Changes on the new generation KTM 85 SX have also extended to the overall looks, with all-new slimmer bodywork mimicking that of the full-sized KTM SX range. This new look is also functional, allowing for better contact with young riders’ boots when standing up. New footpegs, a larger radiator and improved triple clamps round out the changes.

The 2025 KTM 85 SX is another example of KTM’s dedication to mini-cross, with the same amount of energy and attention going into the development of grassroots racing as it imparts at a Supercross level.

The new 2025 KTM 85 SX will be available for £6,399, from August.

2025 EXC RANGE

KTM EXC LINE-UP MOVES THE GOALPOSTS EVEN FURTHER

The 2025 KTM EXC range introduces a series of refinements and key touches to the Enduro lineup, bringing over 30 years of race-bred performance and cutting-edge technology to the trails.

With over three decades at the sharp end of World Enduro Championships – and countless regional titles – the 2025 KTM EXC line-up is set to maintain its domination of enduro competition.

Following 2024's significant 95% overhaul, the 2025 range continues to use revolutionary closed-cartridge suspension, refined frame and bodywork, and industry-defining technology.

The most notable change is the ‘orange’ makeover. Here, the previous 1990s-inspired purple highlights are replaced by a timeless silver-grey graphic over predominantly orange bodywork and a black frame. The seat remains orange, featuring a high-grip seat cover and textured grip strips, which can also be found on the frame protectors, tank shrouds and bar pad.

At the rear, handling is further refined, thanks to new settings for the WP XPLOR PDS shock, resulting in an improved pressure balance and a lower risk of cavitation. The swingarm also gets an update, with a machined unit to improve the durability of the chain glider.

Upfront, a new and updated fuel tank roll now secures the tank more firmly in place while keeping the frame protected against scrubbing. At the handlebars, a new on/off switch gear is carried over from the KTM SX range.

All models in the range keep the hydro-formed, laser-cut and robot-welded frame, which is renowned for its flex parameters, rider feedback and straight-line stability, with a 48 mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge spring fork and WP XPLORE PDS taking care of suspension duties.

For the UK market, the 2025 KTM EXC 2-stroke range will consist of the KTM 150 EXC, KTM 250 EXC and KTM 300 EXC. The 4-stroke line-up also remains unchanged, with the dirt ripping KTM 250 EXC-F, KTM 350 EXC-F, KTM 450 EXC-F and KTM 500 EXC-F filling the ranks.

The new 2025 KTM EXC range will be rolling off the Austrian production line in June and available from July. As an introductory offer for the UK market, KTM Finance is offering promotional finance rates across all 2025 EXC models. Ranging from zero to two per cent APR – depending on length of agreement – on Purchase Plan only, this new POWER DEAL is available until 31.07.24.

The 2025 KTM EXC range is the culmination of years of R&D fighting at the sharp end of Enduro competition worldwide. With dynamic race-bred performance, focused ergonomics and leading technology, the 2025 KTM Enduro range is primed and ready to challenge any terrain and redefine the limit.

As always, a dedicated collection of KTM PowerWear and KTM PowerParts are designed to provide the highest levels of performance and protection, with collections ready to meet the needs of hobby riders and pro racers alike.

MOTOCROSS 2025

KTM TAKES RIDER CONNECTION TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITH THE 2025 KTM MOTOCROSS RANGE

In its latest update since the completely revamped 2023 KTM SX range, the 2025 KTM SX and 2025 KTM SX-F range have upped the ante when it comes to rider connection, composure and control – along with the return of a fan favourite.

Engineered to provide riders with more control than ever before, the 2025 KTM SX and SX-F range brings a series of updates adopted directly from KTM's Factory Racing efforts, making this the most READY TO RACE line-up yet.

The frame has received the most significant update share, with visible cutouts and tube-wall thickness changes around the front, engine mounts and rear shock mounting areas. These changes have been specifically engineered to improve chassis flex characteristics and reduce weight by around 300 g while maintaining overall stability and improving cornering behaviour. An updated swingarm with a machined chain glider and an updated rear brake pedal for improved durability round off updates to the frame.

New Dunlop GEOMAX MX34 Motocross tyres are standard on the 2025 KTM SX and SX-F models, providing stability and control at the highest level to perform at their best. These feature a new carcass compound that improves damping and absorption, adding up to 30% longer performance. New Progressive Cornering Block Technology improves traction, grip and mud dissipation.

At the rear, the WP XACT rear shock benefits from an updated linkage with renewed seals and smaller diameter linkage bolts. The setup is taken directly from the KTM Factory Racing Team and is optimised to benefit weight savings and stiffness parameters. To complement the updates at the rear, the WP XACT AER fork features reworked settings to account for more flex and less weight.

Ergonomically, the 2025 KTM SX and SX-F range features new tank shrouds with bi-composite plastics on the upper and lower flanks, providing a fresh, sharp and distinctive new look and improved cooling. This is supported by an updated fuel tank roll that protects the frame against wear from scrubbing and improves tank fitment. Lastly, an updated air inlet sleeve and snorkel design features on the 2025 models. This is now a one-piece part, preventing deformation through a more robust and stiffer material design.

Above the surface, all-new graphics mirror the new design language of the tank shrouds and hint at the many small technical changes on the 2025 line-up. Full-orange bodywork, red and black in-mould graphics, and a more durable black seat bring a clean look while communicating pure, READY TO RACE intention.

Model year 2025 also sees the introduction of the Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO), which is available as a KTM PowerPart for the 2025 KTM SX-F line-up. The CUO offers various functionalities and adjustability options via the KTMconnect app. This exists as two parts: the CUO – mounted on the right upper fork between the lower and upper triple clamp – and the GPS sensor on the front fender. A CUO-compatible front fender is available as a KTM PowerParts option.

At long last, the cherished KTM 150 SX rejoins the 2-stroke stable with much anticipation. The 2025 KTM 150 SX builds upon the foundation of the KTM 125 SX but with a significant overhaul of components. Specifically designed, modified and rearranged for racers in pursuit of elevated performance, it offers enhanced torque and an enriched riding experience.

The 2025 KTM SX and SX-F models introduce subtle yet significant enhancements to the race paddock, offering the broadest selection of machines designed to meet the needs of every rider and racer.

QUARTER OF A CENTURY OF BUSA AND SV CELEBRATED AT SUZUKI LIVE

2024 marks the 25th anniversary of both the legendary Hayabusa and the cult classic SV650. Both launched in 1999 to do very different jobs, their birthdays will be celebrated at Suzuki Live, which takes place at Cadwell Park on 22-23 June.

Suzuki is inviting owners to bring their bikes along to the event, with dedicated parking and display areas in the paddock reserved for ‘Busas and SVs.

The show-and-shine style display areas will be sponsored by Dunlop, with a free pair of tyres up for grabs for the owners of the best examples on display.

Over the two days there will be track sessions for Suzukis old and new, with sessions scheduled for everything from classic RGs and RGVs to modern GSX-Rs and GTs. There will also be a host of bikes available to test ride on the surrounding Lincolnshire roads, including the new GSX-S1000GX, the GSX-8R, and the V-Strom 800RE, as well as the third generation Hayabusa. Those interested in the latest V-Strom 800DE and V-Strom 1050DE can enjoy off-road test rides in the SR75 Suzuki V-Strom Experience Zone.

Suzuki GB marketing manager Jak Tyrrell commented, “We’re a little over a month away from Suzuki Live and it’s set to be the biggest one yet. While there will be plenty of track sessions for those taking part, there’s going to be even more to see and do away from the circuit action, starting with the two anniversary display areas.

“25 years is a huge milestone for two motorcycling stalwarts: the SV has provided fun, affordable motorcycling for the masses since 1999, has been the first ‘big bike’ of so many riders, and still fills racing grids at club level. And, still, a quarter of a century later, nothing comes close to a Hayabusa. It’s very easy to overuse words like ‘icon’ or ‘legend’, but that is what the Hayabusa is.”

Suzuki Live takes place on 22-23 June at Cadwell Park. Weekend tickets cost £15 and include access to the whole paddock area, plus free camping.

Spectator tickets and track day spaces can be booked here

SUZUKI REVEALS TWO NEW COLOUR OPTIONS FOR GSX-R125

Two new colour options are now available for Suzuki’s GSX-R125, including a retro-inspired blue and white livery that pays homage to the GSX-R lineage and history.

A blue tank and nose sit above white side panels and belly pan, which are adorned with the familiar blue stripes running from the front up onto the seat unit. Lightweight blue wheels complete the look.

It is joined by a more subtle all-black version, which is is accented by red decals and red wheels.

The learner-friendly race replica boasts an incredible power-to-weight ratio in the class with a free-revving, DOHC single cylinder engine, plus keyless ignition and low-rpm assist.

The GSX-R125 uses keyless ignition, both are equipped with Suzuki’s easy-start system, and come with a three-year manufacturer warranty.

V-STROM 800RE TOUR JOINS SUZUKI LINEUP

Suzuki has added a V-Strom 800RE Tour to its lineup, which comes with 112 litres of aluminium luggage and a saving of £706.94.

Buyers can choose from either silver or black three-piece luggage, comprising a top box and panniers, and with an OTR price of £11,199, customers will save £706.94 over equipping the standard V-Strom 800RE with the individual accessories.

Available in blue, matt steel green, or black, the V-Strom 800RE Tour expands Suzuki’s V-Strom 800 range to four models, all of which use the firm’s new 776cc parallel twin engine with its 270-degree crankshaft design, delivering an abundance of smooth low-down drive and midrange thrust.

The 800RE models come with 19” and 17” cast aluminium wheels and Nissin radial calipers. Aluminium, rubber-covered footpegs are set 14mm further rearward and 7mm higher than the V-Strom 800DE, and aluminium tapered handlebars are 13mm lower and 23mm further forwards. They’re also 15mm narrower. A taller and wider screen offers more weather and wind protection on longer rides. Like the DE, suspension comes courtesy of Showa, but with a focus on superior on-road performance there is 150mm of travel front and rear.

A bi-directional quickshifter comes as standard, and there are three selectable power modes and three choices of traction control settings, which can also be switched off. All the information is displayed via a colour TFT dash, nestled behind a large, wind-cheating screen.

SUZUKI BRINGING NEW V-STROM RANGE TO 2024 ABR FESTIVAL

Suzuki is bringing its new V-Strom range to this year’s ABR Festival, which takes place at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire on 27-30 June, with a comprehensive display of bikes plus on and off-road demo rides available.

On display at the UK’s premier adventure bike show for the first time will be the new V-Strom 800RE. Using Suzuki’s new 776cc parallel twin engine, it follows hot on the heels of the V-Strom 800DE, and comes equipped with three engine modes and three traction control settings, a colour TFT screen, and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.

While the 800DE comes with an additional off-road traction control mode and ABS that can be disengaged at the rear, plus 21 and 17” spoked wheels, 220mm of suspension travel, and 220mm ground clearance, the 800RE is tailored to adventure on-road. 150mm suspension travel, a wider, 19” front wheel, radial brakes, and revised ergonomics provide superior road holding and a plush ride for long distances in the saddle. There’s also a taller screen and lower seat height.

Visitors can test ride the new 800RE over the course of the show, as it forms part of Suzuki’s on road test ride fleet, alongside the 800DE, which can also be taken around the event’s off-road loop.

Both the V-Strom 1050 and V-Strom 1050DE will also be on display and available to test ride over the duration of the festival.

In addition to the firm’s V-Strom range, show-goers can also test ride the new GSX-S1000GX sports crossover, which comes with a comprehensive suite of electronics, topped by semi-active suspension from Showa, the GSX-S1000GT sports tourer, and both the GSX-8S and GSX-8R machines.

Displayed on the Suzuki stand in the exhibitors’ area will be various V-Strom models, including Tour variants that are equipped with three-piece aluminium luggage as standard. Also shown will be the V-Strom 650XT, and the GSX-S1000GX+ and GSX-S1000GT+, which come fitted with two 36-litre panniers.

Supercross team and off-road bike building specialists, SR75 Suzuki, will display an RM-Z450 race bike, and a project V-Strom 650XT and V-Strom 800DE. Team owner and former racer Geoff Walker will also be hand to talk all things Suzuki and off-road for the full four days.

Representing Suzuki’s off-road heritage will be a DR800S.

Test rides can be booked from the Suzuki display on a first come, first served basis. Those wishing to take part will need to provide their driving licence and national insurance number.

SUZUKI LIVE 2024

22.06.2024 — 23.06.2024

Following a successful Suzuki Live weekender at Cadwell Park last summer, Suzuki has announced dates for the 2024 event. This year, Cadwell Park will again play host, with the Lincolnshire circuit set to be turned blue on 22-23 June.

Over the course of the two days there will be track sessions for Suzukis old and new, plus parades of very special race and road machinery. Suzuki will bring along a fleet of demo machines as well as a comprehensive display including vintage race bikes such as RGs, RGVs, and GSX-Rs, and classic road bikes ranging from TLs to GTs and Bandits.

There will be test ride opportunities across many bikes in the current range, including the new GSX-8R and GSX-S1000GX. There will also be an off-road loop for test rides on the V-Strom 800DE and V-Strom 1050DE.

The likes of Steve Parrish, John Reynolds, and Taylor Mackenzie joined the lineup of famous faces at this last year’s event, with a roster of celebrities set to join in again in 2024.

For those wandering the paddock, there will be displays from an array of clubs and organisations.

Evening entertainment will again be provided, with talk shows, live music, plus food and beverages available, with all track day spaces and weekend tickets including camping.

Suzuki GB’s Tim Davies said, “We’ve been hosting our events at Cadwell Park for several years now and we cannot wait to get back there again for Suzuki Live 2024. To ride, it’s one of the most iconic circuits in Britain, and is great fun regardless of what you’re riding. For those not riding, there are plenty of excellent vantage points to watch the variety of machinery in action. The paddock, too, turns into a Suzuki village for two days, with all manner of bikes on display from every decade.

“With this last year’s event providing an excellent weekend of entertainment, we’re excited that booking is open now for this year’s event. We’ll be announcing more information in due course, including special guests and attractions.”

Full weekend track day sessions for Suzuki Live 2024 cost £279 and can be booked here

Single day track sessions are also available costing £159 for Saturday only and £149 for Sunday only, book now.

Weekend visitor passes are £15 if booked in advance, while day tickets are £10, or £12 on the gate. Advanced tickets can be purchased here

KTM OFFERS FREE WARRANTY EXTENSION

COMPLIMENTARY WARRANTY EXTENSION ON STREET MODELS WITH OFFICIAL SERVICE COMMITMENT

The use of KTM PowerParts or KTM SpareParts on all street models will carry a full 24-month warranty from the initial date of purchase.

Jens Tuma, Head of Customer Service – “We always advise our customers to use the official KTM network to get their motorcycles serviced, purely because the staff are specially trained on those particular models – and many more – and use approved parts and accessories where applicable. This way we can ensure best possible quality and value preservation of the bikes and it’s also a big reason why we’re really happy to make this warranty extension offer for KTM customers around the world.”
